Hospital settings

We finished construction of Tribal Health Initiative Base Hospital at 1997 using local labour and materials using cost effective technologies. In 2003, we added a new wing which took the total number of beds to 24.

We now have a new upgraded clinical laboratory that helps us extend testing facilities to tribals at a much lower cost.

New infectious Diseases ward allows us to segregate patients based on diseases.

Upgraded labour room is a much needed addition to our hospital with focus on much needed pre-natal and neo-natal care supporting tribal women

With the new neonatal ward for newborns, hypothermia to which many a tribal baby had succumbed is a thing of the past. We have received a lot of help from our well wishers to design and construct our baby care beds.

We now have seperate Emergency Care facility in the new ward, with all critical equipment close at hand

Minor operations and procedures can now be done in the new minor operation theatre which frees up our main theatre a lot and permits better utilisation of our limited facilities.

Our new Operation Theatre boasts of better lighting and an operation table with better controls.

In 2003, we also finised the constuction of our new administrative building which also houses our pharmacy, lab and the new X-Ray room - which houses the x-ray equipment dorated to us by some of our well-wishers.
