The THI Annual Report for 2009 – 2010 is ready. You can download a copy from the publications page. Some of the highlights of this year have been:

• Old age health scheme sees 93% registration in 21 villages.
• Health Auxiliary training and a weekly out patient clinic started in the Kalrayan Hills.
• New drying yards and 16 new cow shed floors to improve quality for organic farmers.
• Scope certificate for Sittilingi Organic Farmers  Association.
• Porgai products exhibited at several venues including Infosys and Cognizant.
• Technology building completed.

Our newsletter for the year 2009 – 2010 is ready and has been mailed to all the Friends of Sittilingi. Some of the highlights of the year have been the starting of a weekly OP clinic at Vellimalai , the initiation of a predominantly local staff led training programme for new Health Auxiliaries from remote villages in the Kalrayan hills, the inauguration of a health scheme for elderly people in our field area and  lots of progress on the organic farming and craft initiatives.

Our Annual Report for 2008 -  2009 is ready.  The past year has been an eventful year for THI. The infant mortality rate in our field area remained low at 20/1000, well below the national average. Our community health outreach programme in the Kalrayan hills has taken off.  Many more people managed to receive community certificates thanks to a well coordinated effort by THI staff and volunteers. The Sittilingi Organic Farmers Association (SOFA) was registered and designers from Bangalore worked with our Lambadi women’s collective to improve the quality of Porgai embroidery products.

The new, redesigned  THI brochure is ready. The brochure summarizes the work done by THI, explains how one can get involved with THI’s work and includes a tear-off form for contibutions.

Our annual report for the year 2006 – 2007 is  ready. The highlight of the year has been the growth of our Lambadi’s women’s collective which hopes to revive traditional Lambadi embroidery. They have started retailing their products under the brand name ‘Porgai’, which means ‘pride’ in their dialect. The Farming Initiative witnessed a number of farmers in the valley turning back to organic farming. The Tribal Hospital saw a 30% increase in patients. Our new staff quarters are ready and 3 staff families have moved in.
